Course Overview

Primitive Survival Skills #3 combines the complete curricula of both Primitive #1 and Primitive #2 into an intense, 4-day total immersion. Designed for students who want to rapidly elevate their ancestral fieldcraft without booking separate weekend dates, this course walks you step-by-step from foundational friction fire and natural cordage up to advanced debris hut engineering, wild game smoking, and tool creation.

Complete 4-Day Dual Curriculum

  • Bow Drill Friction Fire (Standard & No-Knife): Wood species selection, component carving, coal management, and crafting spindles/hearthboards using stone tools.
  • Debris Shelter & Debris Hut Engineering: Building insulated lean-tos and micro-climate debris huts engineered to hold body heat without an internal fire.
  • Natural Cordage & Fiber Harvesting: Harvesting wild plant fibers (inner tree bark, nettle, milkweed) and mastering two-ply reverse-twist cordage.
  • Primitive Trapping & Deadfalls: Trigger mechanics (Paiute, Figure-4), spring-pole snares, engine setups, and wild game funneling.
  • Coal-Burned Hardwood Containers: Working live coals to hollow out functional wooden bowls, spoons, and water vessels.
  • Wild Game Preservation & Smoking: Constructing green-wood smoking racks, fire management for drying meat, and natural food storage.
